„NAKS (National Agency for control and welding)“ is the test organisation in the field of “welding” assigned by the Russian Technical Supervising Institution „ROSTECHNADSOR“ .

In this system there are fixed responsibility certifications for welding filler material (SM), welding equipment (SO), welding technologies (ST) and welding personnel (SP) to demonstrate their harmlessness during application in the “fields of technical hazard” of Russia (fields controlled by law) in accordance to Russian standards.

NAKS has more than 70 certification centre with different authorisations in Russia. Since 2005 SLV M-V GmbH has been the only non-Russian certification centre which offers their services in Europe.

Kind and amount of the tests are required by NAKS, but will be agreed with the client (producer, dealer, consumer) and fixed in a test program.

NAKS certificates are additionally necessary to the GOST-R certificate.

Successful certifications will be shown at NAKS web site ( www.naks.ru , only in Russian language) so that any potential Russian consumer can use certified SM, SO, ST or SP from the beginning.
