Background:

identifying and sorting typical tribosystems, wearing parts, types of wear;
identifying material for built-up welds depending on base material and operating conditions;
identifying necessity of intermediate layers;
selection of welding process; and
recommendations for appropriate welding technology

Ways towards a solution:

1. For an immediate solution: alloy grouping of welding filler (no information on actual tribosystem required);
2. The exact solution: actual welding fillers, welding process, welding parameters and welding sequence (details on actual     tribosystem required).

Of which still being developed:
   Identification of appropriate welding technology for deposition of relevant coatings on substrate material.

Possible application:
   Pipe angle in materials handling technology and in earthwork,...

Other fields of application:
   Wearing parts with high wear by abrasion.
