As a certified training and testing centre for welding engineering SLV Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania operates on behalf of construction supervision authorities, testing institutions, producers or clients to monitor expert implementation also of large welded constructions and structures. Such tests cover:

appropriateness of construction;
selection of base materials and determination of their weldability;
coordination of filler materials and base materials used;
qualification of skilled welding operators;
ongoing processing involving welding engineering in workshops and on-site;
quality monitoring by using non-destructive testing methods; and
monitoring and testing of corrosion protection measures.

In addition, SLV staff are also available for German companies setting up construction sites in foreign countries.
Welders employed there may be trained, examined and monitored by SLV welding instructors and skilled welding
engineers.
