Software system for welding high-alloyed steels and
"black and white joints"
The NIROWARE® module assists in searching for appropriate welding fillers when processing high-alloyed steels and
working on "black and white joints". Besides NIROWARE® defines Cr- and Ni-equivalents (according to Schaeffler, DeLong
and WRC-1992) for base metals and filler metals, determines the composition of welding deposits, determines areas
risking damage (risk zones, "target area", Ms line according to Beres, hot crack line, selective corrosion index, gap
corrosion index).
Software users may refer
to a comprehensive database for selecting base and filler metals based
on various criteria.
However, users may also add to this. In addition, databases for gases
and powders as well as editable dialogues for hints
on welding technologies have been added. Modules to calculate cooling
times and heat input can also be brought in.
Results can be studied in
the shape of tables or graphics. A particular feature was also brought
in: several user-defined filler
materials may be introduced into the diagrams shown whose relationships with base
metals may be modified by simple mouse
clicks when looking at graphics.
