Expert opinionsSLV Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania is an expert centre of welding engineering and it provides expert opinions for
building clients, companies, statical test engineers, insurance agencies, authorities and the courts. Such expert opinions
may be needed in case of:
damage of welded structures;
shortcomings of welding work;
choice of wrong materials;
corrosive damage;
welding without qualification certificate, etc. Damage
analysisInvestigations into cases of damage call for comprehensive experience in the fields of design, material science and
welding technology. Such investigations are carried out successfully involving modern analytical methods:
non-destructive materials testing;
determination of mechanical properties by destructive materials testing;
chemical analysis of materials;
micrographic examination of the damaged site;
analysis of the point of break with the help of a scanning electron
microscope;
analysis of finest deposits and impurities with microprobes;
corrosion studies, and
examinations of static and dynamic loads.All results and evaluations will be summarised in study reports. These expert opinions are either treated confidentially
or- if requested - they will be represented in public.
